The best apps to help you meditate

There are loads of helpful Apps available for your phone or tablet that are really useful in helping you to meditate more or for longer. Here are just a few of our favourites (they’re all free of course!).

Insight Timer

This simple App has a timer with meditation bell sounds that you can set to go off at the start, the end or at any time interval. I use this every time I meditate to alert me with the lovely bell sound that it’s the end of my chosen time period. There are also loads of guided meditations and talks to listen to. Plus it has a feature showing you how many people around the world are meditating at the same time as you!

Stop Breath and Think

A meditation app that asks you how you’re feeling and then provides guided meditation practices to do in response. Good for both adults and children alike.

Smiling Mind

An Australian-created meditation app with loads of short guided meditations to do. It was originally developed for kids and teenagers (but works for adults too) so you might like to use it with your whole family!
